Being an Iron Chef

The importance of Iron in our daily life:

It helps our red blood cells transport oxygen to all the parts of our body.

It helps produce the energy for our body.

The benefits of Iron:

Gives your skin a healthy glow and speeds up wound healing. Its boosts metabolism,  improves muscle function and also increases brain function.

Lets know about some healthy food that are high in iron

Spinach, legumes, red meat, pumpkin, turkey, broccoli, chicken breast, wheat products, tofu, beans.

So lets make something simple with oodles of iron.

Stir fry chicken cubes marinated in garlic paste , salt and pepper. Cook in olive oil for 2-3 minutes till done.

Cook flat noodles for 10 minutes till cooked and strain them. Add cold water and olive oil so they don’t stick to each other.

Wash the green vegetables and chop them finely. Stir fry them in some olive oil on low flame till cooked.  Add salt to taste and pepper.

Cook the chopped vegetables on a slow flame to maintain the iron content and don’t overcook it. The colour of the vegetables should remain green.

I like to add the pasta and pizza sauce for taste. Fresh garlic chopped and cooked with the vegetables gives a good flavour too. Mix in the flat noodles to the cooked vegetables, add the cooked cubes of chicken and grate some cheese. Mix well on a slow flame and serve nice and hot. Its a delicious healthy meal. Very easy to cook and has a boost of iron.
